In Minecraft, end portals act as portals between the normal world and the end dimension. There are 2 ways to build an End Portal, you can build it yourself, or you can find an already assembled End Portal in a Bastion. In this guide you will learn how to create an End Portal.
Building a final portal
Building an end portal requires two types of materials: 12 end eyes and 12 end portal frames. The end eyes are obtained by combining end beads and fire powder, and the only way to build an end portal frame is in creative mode, as it cannot be done in survival mode. You can use the command “/give @p end_portal_frame 1”.
Once you have all these elements, you can start building your portal. Place 3 frames in a row to form one side, then turn right and repeat. Note that the green side of the frame should point to the inside of the gate. Repeat the same thing twice.
Next, place the eyes. Standing in the middle of the gate, place the 11 eyes in the frame you just installed. Do not add the 12th eye yet, because then your portal will activate and you will be teleported to the end. Then exit the portal or fly a bit above it (via creative mode) and place the last eye to activate the portal.
Why go to the End in Minecraft?
There are two main reasons. The first and most basic is to kill the Ender Dragon. This is indeed the main Survival quest, so players who want to “finish” Minecraft will have to go to the End at some point to face this boss.
Be warned, this is a difficult task to accomplish. Not only the full diamond suit, but also small things like golden apples, potions, etc. to kill the dragon. The second reason is… have fun! The End is completely different from the main world and the Nether, although it is a very dangerous place, many players enjoy going there.

Finding the Ender Portal
Each fort contains an entrance chamber with a staircase that leads to a platform above the lava lake. Ender portals are located at the top of the platform, separated by green squares. Get ready to face silver fish on the stairs!
A fortress can contain many rooms, not all of which are necessarily interconnected. If you’re still in a dead-end room, dig around the area to find more. It can take a long time to find a room with a portal.
It is possible that another structure (like a mine) is in the entry room. If it breaks the portal, it won’t work. In the PC version, you can find another bastion. In the console version, there is only one Bastion per world, which means that Ender cannot be entered without cheating.
