With this new version, Apple has put an end to the aesthetically unpleasant Lightning port connection present on the first-generation Apple Pencil. While the last two Apple Pencil models look almost identical, this new entry-level model omits two features. In addition to induction charging, it does not offer pressure sensitivity. Users will therefore have to make do with the tools in their drawing software to achieve the desired results. On the other hand, the Apple Pencil USB-C retains the same level of precision, tilt sensitivity and on-screen pointer appearance when the stylus hovers over it on the iPad Pro. The Apple Pencil USB-C will be available from early November at a price of 95 euros, almost 50 euros less than the Apple Pencil 2. Apple appears to be aiming to win over a wider audience, including students and freelancers, by offering a more affordable price.
